With 6dBi gain, this medium gain antenna is a great all round performing antenna. The elliptical radiation pattern is more rounded compared to a high gain antenna and radiates further compared to a low gain antenna, making it ideal for medium range communication in various environments such as suburban landscapes, towns and low density woodlands.
The 945mm length antenna features a black solid fibreglass whip mounted to a black elevated feed base which is fitted with a medium duty black coated stainless steel spring. It's perfect for installing on all vehicles, including those that are prone to vibration such as trucks, agricultural machinery and off-road 4WDs. The antenna is ground independent which means it can be mounted virtually anywhere on the vehicle while maintaining a stable radiation pattern.
The elevated feed design helps raise the radiation pattern above the vehicle roof and other obstructions to ensure high performance when mounted on a vehicle roof gutter, guard or bullbar. It is fitted with a 4.9 metre RG58 coaxial cable which is pre-terminated with an FME connector making it easy to install through the firewall grommet in vehicles.
