Helping Individuals Recharge Their Mental health

Auto One Australia formalises it’s support of Black Dog Institute, as it helps to make Australia a better place for those living with Mental Health

Auto One established in 1988, participates in the automotive aftermarket category, representing over 80 independent retailers across Australia with Auto One and A1 Auto Parts brands, has signed a landmark partnership agreement with The Black Dog Institute.

With 1 in 5 Australians experiencing signs and symptoms of mental ill-health every year, Black Dog Institute is the only medical research institute in Australia to investigate mental health, with research findings giving hope for the future.

Francine Poisson, Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships at the Institute said ‘Black Dog Institute is proud to partner with Auto One who are committed to breaking down stigma and encouraging people to reach out for help with their mental health.   With suicide currently the leading cause of death in Australia for people aged 15-44, and over 75% of those deaths being males, this partnership will raise much needed funds and help turn research into action.

Mark Garwood, Managing Director at Auto One, is thrilled to be able to partner with Black Dog Institute, helping to make Australia a better place for those living with mental health with donations to the Institute from every Auto One and A1 Auto parts battery sold – nationwide.

“Our battery donation program is just one example of how we are committed to better mental health for all Australians. Working with communities, trades and businesses, our hope is to support our network of independent retailers and their customers with this partnership for the years to come”.

“Alongside annual fundraising and community events, the Auto One group has come together, building a sense of purpose, understanding and knowledge to support one another both in the workplace and in the workshops that we service”. Said Mr Garwood.

“We look forward to creating a lasting impact supporting and partnering with Black Dog Institute”.
